Join

Do you have an active Mario fansite? We want you to join SMFN! Here's a few criteria your site must meet in order to be eligible:

1. Sites must be primarily about Mario! This includes franchises such as Yoshi and Wario; this does not include franchises such as Donkey Kong or Super Smash Bros., unless the site focuses primarily on Mario's existence within one of those franchises.
2. Sites must be active, which we define as being online (i.e. accessible via a web browser) and having a webmaster that is contactable (preferably via email). If you have or know of a site that is inactive or archived, send it over anyway and it can be included in the directory.
3. Sites must have content. Forum posts alone do not count as content in this context; they must themselves bear some sort of content that defines at least part of the purpose of the site, including (but not limited to) a fan work, review, or critical analysis.
4. Sites must display the SMFN button and link it back to SMFN.org, either on the homepage or a links/affiliates page. If displayed on a links/affiliates page, we prefer it to be separated somehow from other links.
5. Sites must not be overrun with advertisements, or have advertisements placed in such a way that they appear to follow the flow or voice of text on the page or otherwise mislead the visitor.
6. Sites must not be hosted on Fandom (formerly Wikia), Tapatalk, or similar CMS hosting services.
7. Sites must have a dedicated domain name ("example.com") or subdomain ("example.anotherdomain.com"). Exceptions to this rule may be made on a case-by-case basis.
